Summary of Position and Key Responsibilities
The University of Central Asia is seeking a Teaching and Laboratory Assistant to assist the Science Faculty in preparing and conduct of laboratory activities in Integrated Science. The individual is expected to work with students in their after-class/lab science-related activities. Moreover, the Teaching and Laboratory Assistant will assist the Science Faculty in marking papers and research activities (e.g., translation, data collection, literature review) and may be assigned to other emerging tasks of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Assist the faculty in facilitating the conduct of classroom and laboratory activities.
• Assist the faculty in preparing instructional materials and teaching aids.
• Assist the faculty in preparing laboratory handouts and laboratory equipment for laboratory activities.
• Assist the faculty in marking papers and keeping track of students’ academic performance
• Facilitate peer tutoring for the subject.
• Assist the faculty in research related work.
• Others assigned by the faculty that is relevant to the courses taught and research conducted.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree holder in any social science programs (preferably teacher education majoring natural sciences).
• Basic knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Basic knowledge in teaching and laboratory techniques.
• Possess excellent English language oral and written communication skills
• Kyrgyz citizen preferably from Naryn Region.
• Must have good personality and great work ethics.

Relationships 
The Teaching and Laboratory Assistant will:

• Report to the Science Faculty

Salary and Package
Commensurate with qualification and experience to attract the best candidate.
