OJSC “Bakai Bank” has been providing banking services to individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, and corporate clients since December 28, 1998. “Bakai Bank” is a bank with fully Kyrgyz capital, meaning that all of its shareholders are citizens of Kyrgyzstan. The bank is one of the largest financial institutions in the Kyrgyzstan market and is among the top three leaders in authorized capital.

The mission of the bank is to become a good friend to our client and be more than just a partner. The vision is to be a universal and dynamically developing bank.

In 2004, the bank joined the Interbank Processing Center, which allowed the bank to issue its national Elkart cards. In 2006, “Bakai Bank” moved to another building that met all quality requirements, with spacious operational halls, separate waiting areas, and separate cashier booths. In 2008, the bank joined Visa International and has since been actively promoting banking services through plastic cards. In 2010, “Bakai Bank” introduced a microcredit system, which allowed the bank to expand its client base in small and medium-sized businesses. In 2011, the bank was renamed to Bakai Bank and changed its logo, brand, and legal name.
