Since 1996, the SOS Children’s Villages Kyrgyzstan Public Foundation has been supporting children without parental care and those at risk of losing it. The foundation develops family and foster care forms, prevents social orphanhood, and provides comprehensive assistance to children and families in difficult situations.
Two SOS Children’s Villages operate in Kyrgyzstan – in Bishkek and Cholpon-Ata. More than 100 children are raised in 26 family homes. Each home houses 5-6 children of different ages under the constant care of an SOS mother or SOS family couple. Children feel safe, stay with their brothers and sisters, attend schools, develop talents and life skills.
The foundation has implemented more than 30 projects in collaboration with international partners and government agencies. Programs include foster family training, crisis accommodation, family support, and youth integration. SOS Children’s Villages strengthen families in crisis, support foster families, and help youth leaving care to live independently and confidently.
For over 25 years, more than 600 children have grown up in SOS families. More than 9,600 people have received assistance through family support programs, and over 400 graduates of the youth program have started independent lives. The foundation strives for every child to grow up in a caring, safe, and stable family.
SOS Children’s Villages Kyrgyzstan invites companies to become corporate partners. Partners gain strengthened CSR reputation, transparent ESG reporting, and flexible collaboration formats – from financial support to volunteering. Individuals can also support children without parental care by donating via QR code.
