Currently, the Center on Export Controls (CEC) is partnering with the International Science and Technology Centre (ISTC) on the development of educational programs in the field of strategic trade control in Kyrgyzstan.
Given the importance of safe integration of Central Asian countries into the global community and the need to train competent personnel in Export Control, the leading universities of the Kyrgyz Republic are implementing Master Programs related to Strategic Trade Control (STC). Thus, at the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, a Master Program “STC, International and Customs Law” will be launched at the Department of “Jurisprudence and Customs” of the Law Faculty of the University.
Also, the International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUK) at the Department of “Management and Economics” of the Faculty of “Economics, Computer Technology, Diplomacy of Humanities», a new Master Program “STC in public and business structures of the economy” will start in September this year.
These academic programs were developed jointly with the International Science and Technology Centre (ISTC) and the Center on Export Controls (CEC) with the support of the European Union (EU).
In this regard, on August 25, 2023, the Kyrgyz National University will host an Event on Presentation of Master Programs on STC with the participation of representatives of ISTC, EU, CEC, Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, export control experts, representatives of the business community and universities, master’s students, management and professors of KNU and IUK.
