Global Money Week 2025: Optima Bank Invests in Knowledge and the Future of Kyrgyzstan’s Youth

Global Money Week is not just an international campaign. It is a time when the whole world comes together to provide young people with the knowledge they need for a confident and sustainable financial future.

In 2025, Optima Bank once again reaffirmed its commitment to the mission of financial education. Throughout the week, the bank implemented a series of initiatives aimed at supporting youth and fostering financial literacy in Kyrgyzstan.

Fair in the heart of the capital

The week kicked off with participation in a large-scale financial fair at the National Historical Museum. The event was supported by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, in collaboration with the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At Optima Bank’s interactive booth:

  • Students participated in financial games and received memorable prizes.
  • They could instantly open a bank card, taking their first step toward financial independence.
  • A special offer for internships garnered significant interest — a real chance to start a career at the bank.

Lectures and partnerships with universities

The educational mission continued with guest lectures at:

  • Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev,
  • Toktonalieva Financial and Economic College.

Bank specialists shared their expertise in:

  • Financial literacy,
  • Marketing and CJM (Customer Journey Mapping),
  • Career development in the banking sector.

A special moment was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with the Financial and Economic College. Now, graduates of the college will be able to start their careers at the bank immediately after receiving their diplomas.

“Leaders must unite!” emphasized the branch director of the Bishkek branch, Sanjar Akimov, as he signed the document together with the director of the college, Guras Zhaparov.

The bank also gifted the college an interactive whiteboard — a useful tool for learning and teamwork.

Tour of the head office

Another highlight of the week was the visit of high school students from Silk Road International School to the head office of Optima Bank. The students:

  • Got a glimpse of how the bank operates from the inside,
  • Participated in a lecture on marketing and financial literacy,
  • Familiarized themselves with real cases and got inspired for their future profession.

Financial education online

Throughout the week, the bank actively shared educational materials on social media:

  • How to manage a personal budget,
  • How to save and invest,
  • How to protect your finances in the digital world.

The content sparked a lively response and helped many take a step towards a more conscious approach to money.

In conclusion

Global Money Week 2025 with Optima Bank is a contribution to the development of financial culture in the country.

It is support for the new generation — those who will build the economy of Kyrgyzstan tomorrow.

By investing in knowledge, we invest in a sustainable future.
