Baker Tilly Academy invites you to a two-day practical training course, “Accounting in Construction in Accordance with IFRS and Taxation: From Theory to Real-World Cases,” to be held on September 24–25 in Bishkek.

Construction projects have specific accounting requirements due to their long implementation periods, phased revenue recognition, cost and contract accounting, borrowing cost capitalization, and industry-specific tax considerations.

During the training, we will examine these topics from the perspective of IFRS requirements and the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, with a particular focus on practical application and real-world situations.

The program includes:

• application of IFRS 15 to construction projects;
• revenue recognition under contracts with customers;
• cost accounting and determining the cost of construction projects;
• capitalization of borrowing costs and application of IAS 23;
• accounting for construction in progress;
• tax considerations for construction companies and property developers;
• practical cases and analysis of real-world situations.

The training will be particularly useful for chief financial officers, chief accountants, and financial reporting and taxation specialists working for construction companies.
