On the introduction of a moratorium on tuition fee increases in higher and secondary vocational educational institutions
A Presidential Decree of the Kyrgyz Republic introduces a moratorium on increases in tuition fees for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in higher and
secondary vocational educational institutions, regardless of their legal form or status, for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The moratorium is aimed at ensuring access to educational services, strengthening social protection of citizens, and safeguarding the rights and legitimate interests of students. The Decree shall enter into force ten days after the date of its official publication.
On the increase of the labor migration quota
By Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the labor migration quota determining the maximum number of foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving in the Kyrgyz Republic for employment in 2026 has been increased.
Under the amendments, the quota has been increased from 52,000 to 100,000 persons.
On the establishment of the policy rate by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic
By resolution of the Board of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the policy rate of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic is set at 12 percent per
annum.
This resolution shall enter into force on May 26, 2026.
