As part of the tour, the delegation visited the Clausen Center for International Business & Policy and the University of California, Berkeley

On April 25th, a number of interesting meetings were prepared for the business delegation.

The delegation met with Mr. Chris Bush, Executive Director of the Clausen Center for International Business & Policy. The Clausen Center’s mission is to promote innovative scientific research, improve teaching standards in the field of international economics and finance, and contribute to the political dialogue on these issues. The Center’s work is organized into four broad areas: financial globalization, international financial architecture, international trade and development, and international business education.

As part of the visit, participants had a tour to the University of California, Berkeley, U.S. public research university. It is considered the best public university in the world and the only public university that is among the 5 best educational institutions in the world.

Mr. Olaf Groth, Entrepreneurial Executive, presented on “The Future of Technology.” Mr. Dave Rochlin, professor and executive director of the Center for Innovation and Design Practice, spoke about “Design Thinking.” Executive Director of the Berkely Haas Entrepreneurship Program, Ms. Rhonda Shrader, shared information on the Lean Startup methodology and entrepreneurship. There was also a session on “Digital Finance” by Mr. Donald Hanna, Managing Director of the Center for Growth Markets, who spoke about financial innovations and financial technologies, and a session on “Business Analytics” by Mr. Gauthier Vasseur, Executive Director of Fisher Center for Business Analytics.
