The Chairperson of the Board of Directors of AmCham met with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America

On June 14, 2022, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic, Nazira Beishenalieva, met with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America.

Nazira Beishenalieva shared about the activities of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic and the regional initiative of AmCham “Regional AmCham Network”, implemented with the support of the USAID FGI program.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues and prospects for American-Kyrgyz cooperation, and also noted the existing potential for the development and strengthening of bilateral relations.

The issue of opening correspondent accounts in commercial banks of the Kyrgyz Republic was considered. Correspondent accounts have been used by financial institutions to facilitate cross-border transactions. With its help banking transactions become faster, easier and cheaper. Therefore, recently, among banks in Kyrgyzstan, the need of usage correspondent accounts has been increasing.

Also, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America gave their recommendations and advice on working with investments of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). DFC partners with the private sector to finance solutions to the most critical challenges facing the developing world today. They invest across sectors including energy, healthcare, critical infrastructure, and technology.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the interlocutors confirmed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in various fields and a constructive dialogue on a wide range of bilateral cooperation.
