The United Nations Policy Dialogue with the Private Sector in Kyrgyz Republic was held

On June 15, 2022, the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce, Dastan Imanaliev, participated in the United Nations Policy Dialogue with the Private Sector in Kyrgyz Republic. The event was attended by heads of business associations and enterprises of various industries of Kyrgyzstan, heads and employees of UN agencies operating in Kyrgyzstan.

The purpose of this event is to coordinate with the private sector the priority of the United Nations Framework for Development Cooperation for Kyrgyzstan for 2023-2027 and determine the ideas of partnership between the UN and the private sector for sustainable development in the country.

During the event, the parties discussed the key points of the UN Framework Program for Development Cooperation for Kyrgyzstan for 2023-2027 and the possibilities of this program. Representatives of business associations provided their recommendations within the framework of the priority areas of the five-year program and discussed priority areas, proposals and formats of cooperation between the UN system and business society for the future.

The UN Framework for Sustainable Development Cooperation is the main strategic document of the UN System in the Kyrgyz Republic, which will replace the current program signed by the UN and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2017 (UNDAF) for 2018-2022.
