On October 4, 2024, a roundtable for members of the American Chamber of Commerce was held in Bishkek, organised in partnership with the British Embassy. The event focused on the potential application of English law in the Kyrgyz Republic in the context of dispute resolution mechanisms.

The speaker for the event was Mr. Benjamin Wells, a partner at Belgravia Law. He shared his extensive experience in international arbitration and litigation. Mr. Wells is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and serves as an arbitrator.

During the discussions, Mr. Wells spoke about the features of English law and arbitration proceedings, as well as his experience in establishing arbitration institutions in the Republic of Kazakhstan under applicable English law.

The roundtable served as an important platform for strengthening ties between professionals from the UK and Kyrgyzstan, as well as for fostering further collaboration and exchange of expertise among legal specialists.
