The American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic participated in the U.S.–Central Asia Regional Data and Cybersecurity Meeting held on April 8–9, 2026, in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The two-day event brought together public and private sector representatives from across Central Asia to discuss key issues related to cybersecurity, data protection, and the development of the digital economy in the region. The agenda focused on strengthening regional cooperation, sharing expertise, and identifying practical solutions to enhance business resilience to cyber risks.
Discussions covered emerging cyber threats, the impact of artificial intelligence, data regulation, and international best practices in data protection.
AmCham works in close cooperation with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce and continues to engage in joint initiatives aimed at advancing a secure and resilient digital environment in the region.
