The first day of the Business Tour to the United States

On November 21, 2022, a number of interesting meetings were prepared for the Kyrgyz delegation.
The delegation met with Mr. Rodney Fong, President & CEO of San Francisco Chamber of Commerse and Ms. Anita Huang, Chief of Staff of the Chamber. San Francisco Chamber of Commerse is San Francisco’s most vibrant business network. Their work includes attract, support, and grow business through advocacy, economic development, and business development. They provide leadership on issues important to business and take collective action to advance sustainable economic growth and a better San Francisco. Within the meeting, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce spoke about doing business in San Francisco, which aroused the keen interest of the Kyrgyz side.
On the same day, a visit to the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the office of the World Economic Forum took place, during which the Head of Digital Trade at the World Economic Forum, Mr. Ziyang David Fan, the Head of Investors in the Partner Engagement team at the World Economic Forum, Ms. Natalya Guseva, and Project Lead for the Digital Trade Portfolio at the World Economic Forum, Ms. Yan Xiao, discussed the work of the World Economic Forum and the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution shapes policies and strategies focused on people and society in areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, the Internet of Things, or autonomous vehicles, and ensures rapid policy implementation and iteration through a rapidly growing network currently consisting of 16 national and subnational centers.
As part of the visit, participants had a tour to the University of California, Berkeley, a U.S. public research university located in Berkeley, California. It is considered the best public university in the world and the only public university that is among the 5 best educational institutions in the world.
Along with this event, business communication with professors of the University took place. Mr. Gauthier Vasseur, Executive Director of Fisher Center for Business Analytics, spoke about new technologies such as Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Ms. Rhonda Shrader, Executive Director of the Berkely Haas Entrepreneurship Program, shared information on Lean Startup methodology and entrepreneurship. Mr. Donald Hanna, Managing Director of the Center for Growth Markets, talked about Financial Innovation and Fintech. Mr. Olaf Groth, Entrepreneurial Executive, Thinktank Founder, Advisor and Author for Disruption Forces and Futures in Global Economy presented about strategies and strategies and designs for a Smarter world.
