Discussion of the Business Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2026 with the participation of members of the Chamber

On April 17, 2023, a roundtable discussion was held organized by the American Chamber of Commerce within the project “Development of Business and Support of Entrepreneurship Through Dialogue”, with the support of the US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan. The event was jointly conducted with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and aimed to discuss the Business Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2026 with the participation of Chamber members, representatives of business associations, government agencies, and experts.

In February this year, in order to implement the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic adopted the Business Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic. This program is a joint initiative of the government and the private sector and contains 101 activities to be implemented by 2026. The program is aimed at sustainable business development taking into account new challenges.

During the meeting, participants discussed the Business Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2026, which includes the main directions and tasks for the country’s development, the policy of developing the business environment and the investment climate, and is modeled in two directions: crisis measures and systemic measures.

During the presentation, Ainura Usenbekova, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, announced six principles on which the Program is based. They include the principles of mutual responsibility, links between trade and production relations, innovation, ecology, equality, and security of development. The program’s feature is that it was developed jointly with representatives of business structures, and each measure is aimed at expanding opportunities for business.

The project “Development of Business and Support of Entrepreneurship Through Dialogue”, funded by the US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan and implemented by the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic, is aimed at expanding the rights and opportunities of businesses and entrepreneurs by providing a platform for public-private dialogue.
