On March 17, 2021, AmCham Executive Director Aktilek Tungatarov took part in a meeting of the Secretariat of the Council for Business Development and Investment under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic with the Director of the State Agency for the Promotion and Protection of Investments Almambet Shykmamatov. Aktilek Tungatarov voiced the issue of the negative affect of pressure on business and investors on attracting investments.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further joint work to develop a Strategy for the development of the country’s investment activities.
