On September 19 2018, the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic, in cooperation with the International Court of Arbitration, organized an intensive training on the topic “The Court of Arbitration is a modern tool in resolving business disputes”.

The trainers were Maychiyev, Shamaral Yusupovich – the Chairman of the International Court of Arbitration (ICA), as well as practicing arbitrators of ICA – Natalia Alenkina, Nurlan Alymbaev, Aibek Chekoshev and Chingiz Darbyshev.

During the training, the advantages of the Arbitration Court were revealed, in particular, the short period of dispute resolution, the cost-effectiveness of the procedure and its main difference from a state court – the possibility of independent selection of judges.

Also reviewed in detail were the principles of arbitration proceedings and the order of execution of the decisions of the Court of Arbitration, and examples of the main errors in drafting of arbitration clauses were given. Special attention was paid to arbitration proceedings related to credit and collateral disputes, as well as financial issues: the determination and calculation of the price of a claim and calculation of the registration and arbitration fees. Each arbitrator cited examples from their own practice.
