A workshop dedicated to the legal aspects of doing business in Kyrgyzstan took place as part of the “Academy for Women Entrepreneurs” (AWE) project

On March 6, a workshop dedicated to the legal aspects of doing business in Kyrgyzstan took place as part of the “Academy for Women Entrepreneurs” (AWE) project, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce with the support of the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic. The AWE program was created with the aim of providing women entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan with the necessary knowledge, establishing connections, and ensuring access to resources essential for the successful and sustainable development of local businesses. Speaker Mr. Andrey Lee, Partner, Executive Director of the LEX Law Firm, during the workshop, discussed various forms of business registration and addressed frequently asked questions, such as restrictions for founders and non-resident entrepreneurs, as well as registration timelines. Additionally, topics such as the tax system in Kyrgyzstan, contract drafting, and licensing activities were covered.

The participants of the workshop showed a keen interest in the topic, asking numerous questions and actively engaging in the learning process.

The American Chamber of Commerce expresses gratitude to the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic for their active support of this project aimed at stimulating business and fostering entrepreneurial spirit.
