On December 6, 2019, a seminar “Competition Law in the Kyrgyz Republic” was held, organized by AmCham in conjunction with the State Agency for Antimonopoly Regulation under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The speakers were Mr. Pavel Lee, Head ofDepartment for Monitoring and Protection of Competition in the Field of Public Procurement, and Ms. Nazina Alykulova, Head of Department of Advertising, Consumer Protection, Unfair Competition and International Cooperation.

The speakers spoke about the history of the operation of the Antimonopoly Authority of the Kyrgyz government, the practice of review of cases of unfair competition, investigation of antitrust violations in industry markets, as well as shared the areas  for improvement  of the antitrust legislation and legislative initiatives.
