On February 9, 2022, within the framework of the project “Business Promotion and entrepreneurship empowerment through dialogue,” a business breakfast was held with the participation of the Director of the Sixth Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic (MFA) — Omuraliev Ermek Socialić and Acting Chief of Political and Economic Affairs of the US Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic— Mary Harrington, members and representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Members of the American Chamber of Commerce included representatives of financial institutions, manufacturers of the agro-industrial and food sectors, distributors of everyday goods and others.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged views, shared their proposals and voiced issues of interest to promote the export opportunities of representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic to the American market and much more.

In particular, a number of issues related to cooperation in areas were discussed:
— logistics;
— food industry;
— product certification;
— construction;
— IT sphere;
— agriculture.

The parties expressed interest in gaining experience from US business representatives in the development of human resources through training, seminars and teaching in the above areas.

At the end of the business breakfast, the parties agreed to make joint and consistent efforts to resolve the issues raised during the meeting, as well as maintain close and working contacts.
