American Chamber of Commerce in Kyrgyzstan participated in a meeting of the IBECA Program, implemented by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE)

On March 11, 2024, the American Chamber of Commerce in Kyrgyzstan participated in a meeting of the IBECA Program, implemented by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). The event was attended by representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, leaders and representatives of business associations, as well as the IBECA Project team in Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, a presentation was given by Mr. Anthony Musa, a Foreign Affairs Officer in the Office of Central Asian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, on economic sanctions in Central Asian countries and ways to minimize their impact on economic activities.

Participants discussed opportunities to increase the potential for developing profitable investment projects. The discussion also identified key challenges and opportunities for integration, access to international financing, and interaction with business projects.

This event provided a valuable opportunity for participants to discuss priorities and plans to improve the business environment and investment climate in Kyrgyzstan, as well as to address issues related to sanctions.
