On August 6, 2025, the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic participated in the first meeting of the Working Group on the WTO Agreement on Investment Facilitation for Development (IFD). The meeting was organized by the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in cooperation with the International Trade Centre (ITC).
The participants discussed key issues, including: the organization and regulations of the Working Group; formats for further interaction; and the launch of a needs assessment for subsequent technical assistance.
The initiative aims to enhance the investment climate and strengthen the Kyrgyz Republic’s position as a reliable and promising partner for international business.
The meeting was held within the framework of the Ready4Trade Central Asia project, funded by the European Union and aimed at fostering trade development and attracting investment in the region.
The American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic welcomes the launch of the Working Group and will continue to support projects aimed at increasing the country’s investment appeal and fostering the development of the business environment.
