Four main areas of activity for 2019 for AmCham Committee on Enterprise Development and Investment

On April 16, 2019, the third meeting of the Committee on Enterprise Development and Investment was held. The main issue on the agenda was identifying a work plan for the Committee for 2019. After discussing a number of issues raised by AmCham member companies, the Chairperson of the Committee, Galina Kucheryavaya, Director for Legal Affairs and Government Relations at Sky Mobile LLC (Beeline TM), announced four selected key areas for the Committee’s activity in 2019:

  • Improving the quality of personnel training — in particular, the initiative to conclude agreements between AmCham and leading institutions of higher learning within the country, setting quotas for referring students for internships during their period of study;
  • Regulation of labor relations – lobbying for lower insurance premiums;
  • Advancing the work on legal acts from the Systemic Regulation Analysis portal;
  • Expansion of the powers of the International Arbitration Court to resolve disputes with government bodies.
