Heads of the business associations discussed plans to create a favorable investment climate in the Kyrgyz Republic

AmCham Executive Director Aktilek Tungatarov took part in a meeting with Ainura Usenbekova, an expert in the project development sector of the Department of Political and Strategic Development of Economy and Finance of the Office of the Presidential of the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Institute of Business Ombudsman, JIA Business Association, International Business Council and Association of Suppliers.

The participants discussed plans to create a favorable investment climate in the Kyrgyz Republic. Aktilek Tungatarov shared an initiative to take the following steps:

  • Adoption of the Constitutional Law on Investor Protection to create a favorable investment climate;
  • Creation of the Council under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for the development of economy and business, which will include the leaders of the biggest business associations.

The American Chamber of Commerce emphasizes that in order to attract new investors to the Kyrgyz Republic, it is important to create favorable conditions for investors who already operate and invest in the development of country’s economy.
