Dear prospective candidates,<\/p>\n

The U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic, is pleased to announce the launch of the “Academy for Women Entrepreneurs” (AWE) program, aiming to support and unlock the potential of women in Kyrgyzstan to create conditions for a more stable, secure, and prosperous society. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The AWE program has been designed to provide women entrepreneurs with the knowledge, networking opportunities, and access necessary to develop successful and sustainable local businesses, promoting economic development within an often-overlooked demographic group in the regions of the country. The program aims to foster social and economic equality for women by equipping them with the skills to start and scale their businesses. AWE also encourages mutual learning, experience sharing, and networking among graduate entrepreneurs, contributing to the growth of local businesses.<\/p>\n

The AWE program in the Kyrgyz Republic is a six-month hybrid initiative (September to February 2023, with a closing ceremony in March 2023) that will select 20 women small business owners or women with business startup ideas from the outskirts (“newly developing areas”) of Bishkek, Osh, and Jalal-Abad cities as program participants, along with 10 mentors who are members and partners of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic. Successful candidates will participate in workshops and sessions conducted by trainers from the USA and the Kyrgyz Republic.<\/p>\n

The mentors will be selected after two rounds of selection: application submission and interviews. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The deadline for application submissions is August 18, 23:59. <\/strong><\/p>\n
