Visa Donates Personal Protection Equipment to the Hospitals in Kyrgyzstan in Fight Against COVID-19

  • Visa donates 3 500 kits of personal protective equipment to 7 state hospitals in Kyrgyzstan
  • The humanitarian aid goes to the hospitals in the area of Issyk-Kul and GANSI observation

 

Bishkek, August 14, 2020 – Visa, a global payments technology company, provided funds and purchased personal protective equipment for seven state hospitals in Karakol, Balykchy, Cholpon-Ata cities and GANSI observation reorganized for COVID-19 patients. The company focused on equipment that is essential to effectively protect medical workers in Kyrgyzstan. The items procured include masks, gloves and costumes arranged as 3 500 kits of personal protection equipment.

As the number of recorded cases of COVID-19 has grown, medical workers bear the brunt of pandemic providing services and care to all patients. While Bishkek remains the epicenter of pandemic, hospitals in a more distant regions, such as Issyk-Kul area, now have growing requests to protect their medics. Considering the epidemic situation Visa team reached hospitals to cover the need in protective equipment.
