Training in Almaty on How to Do Business with United States Governments (USG), March 26, 2014

American Chamber of Commerce held training on how to do business with US Government Contracting Authorities within the frameworks of “Portal to CAS Business” project. The training took place on March 26 in Almaty, Kazakhstan with vendors of 38 companies in attendance. The main objectives of the event were to introduce the Portal to CAS Business project, exchange information with the USG contracting authorities’ representatives, overview the bids process details and practice the main steps of the bids participation process. CENTCOM representative Maj. Laurijean Wright introduced CENTCOM mission and activities with CAS business and answered the questions of participants. The trainers Akylbek Joldoshov and Irina Shin introduced Portal to CAS project and provided overview of the procurement and bidding processes.

The next vendor training will take place on April 29 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
