Meeting on economic diplomacy of the Consultative Group at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kyrgyz Republic
On May 24, 2019 the Minister of Foreign Affairs Chingiz Aidarbekov chaired a regular meeting on economic diplomacy of the Consultative Group at the Ministry of Foreign Afairs in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The meeting was attended by representatives of business associations of Kyrgyzstan, including Zarina Chekirbaeva, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The engaged discussion covered the next steps of increasing a cooperation with the business circles of Japan, the Republic of Korea, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, France and Belgium. There was a detailed exchange of views on all issues that the business association of Kyrgyzstan is concerned about. The participants introduced their suggestions and wishes about studying the mechanisms of protecting the interests of businessmen,on mutual recognition of arbitration courts, the possibility of bringing in a visa-free regime and etc.
In Seoul, Republic of Korea, it is planned to open a commodity office, where Kyrgyz enterprises will be able to demonstrate their products for free.
During the visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan, it is planned to conduct a business forum in Japan.
It is also planned to open a Kyrgyz-Hungarian fund, which can issue loans of up to 2%. The ones who are willing to work with companies from Hungary and Romania are able to receive money through this fund.
A Kyrgyz-Turkish business forum is scheduled for July-August 2019.
In general, the active interaction was noted between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and business community of Kyrgyz Republic.
