Kyrgyzstan Industry Training Symposium April 24, 2012
On April 24, 2012 Kyrgyzstan Industry Training symposium was held at the hotel “Ak-Keme Pinara” organized by the Ministry of Economy and Antimonopoly Policy together with the American Chamber of Commerce in the KR with the support of the U.S. Defense Department.
The goals of Symposium were:
- Continuation of economic cooperation with Kyrgyz Republic.
- Providing of practical advice to kyrgyz entrepreneurs on how to develop relationships with U.S. trading partners, and how to participate in tenders on projects of the U.S. government.
- Providing information about opportunities and working conditions with representatives of the U.S. Defense Department.
- Consideration of the possibility to purchase food and industrial goods for the needs of U.S. forces in Afghanistan. Personal meeting with local entrepreneurs, procurement agents for the exchange of information and networking.
The symposium was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Ms. Pamela Spratlen, the deputy minister of economy and antimonopoly policy, Mr. Pankratov, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kyrgyz Republic, the Government Office, Ministry of Industry of Kyrgyz Republic, Ministry of Agriculture of KR, more than 200 entrepreneurs – producers of goods and services.
Also during the symposium, an exhibition of industrial products of Kyrgyz producers was held.
