Peter S. Rashish has joined the U.S. Chamber as the Vice President for Europe and Eurasia. Rashish will lead the Chamber's International Division in crafting and implementing strategies to promote the interests of Chamber members in the transatlantic market. Before coming to the Chamber he was Senior Advisor for Europe at McLarty Associates, an international strategic advisory firm, which included six and a half years based in Vienna, Austria.

Tom J. Donohue, President and CEO of U.S. Chamber of Commerce Washington D.C. delivered the annual State of American Business address in the Chamber's Hall of Flags. (For full version, please click here)

The Salzburg Global Seminar convenes imaginative thinkers from different cultures and institutions, organizes problem-focused initiatives, supports leadership development, and engages opinion-makers through active communication networks, all in partnership with leading institutions from around the world and across different sectors of society. The Global Intellectual Property Center (GIPC) will host a discussion on the important current challenges facing the United States Patent and Trademark Office (PTO). The discussion will take place on October 28, 2008 at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, 1615 H Street, Washington, DC, 20062, Herman Lay Room.
A draft of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce sponsored "Report to the incoming Administration on High-Priority Changes in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office," a comprehensive examination of meaningful improvements that should be implemented to create a more effective, efficient, and high-quality Patent and Trademark Office, will be discussed.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Washington D.C.
