Corruption Catcher
How to use Corruption Catcher: Step #1: Carry a pen and paper in your car. Step #2: Take notes! Whenever you face a militia officer asking for a 50 som bribe, a government inspector trying to sell you a permit, or a college professor asking you for a gift in order to pass his class; write down all of the details: name, date, inspector ID number, and any other relevant information. Step #3: We'll track all violations and report them on a semi-annual basis to the Kyrgyz Government (keeping your name and personal information secret). Step #4: As more and more people begin asking corrupt government employees for their identification numbers, these officials will begin to feel the pressure of increased transparency (just seeing you pull out a pen and paper will send them running). Step #5: Tell your friends and get everyone you know involved in the fight against corruption! In the space below, please tell us 1. The type of government employee (militia, tax inspection, etc.) Corruption can only exist if good people do nothing to stop it... What will you do? |
