AmCham Committees
AmCham Specialized Committees
All Committees act as a mediators in building dialogue between the Kyrgyz decision-makers and AmCham members, providing commentary on their issues to policy-makers; holding regular meetings and round tables to discuss issues of concern to AmCham members as well as influencing the legislative process and playing an educational role in the Chamber.
1. Industry & Investment Committee
The Committee serves as a forum for the discussion of issues that affect American and foreign investment in the Kyrgyz Republic. The Committee focuses on aspects of foreign investment, mining, energy, transportation, industry, construction and logistics.
2. Kyrgyz – U.S. Business Committee
The Committee aims at establishing sustained Kyrgyz-U.S. commercial ties/network and advancing the Kyrgyz-U.S. trade agenda.
3. Tax & Accounting Committee
The Tax, Accounting & Law Committee focuses on aspects of Kyrgyz Republic taxation, accounting, auditing, custom, tariffs and rule of law.
4. Banking and Finance Committee
The committee promotes a favorable banking environment and ethical banking practices, addressing the issues of banking infrastructure, interest rates, banking business regulations and bank contributions to socio-economic planning.
5. Travel & Tourism Committee
The Committee focuses on aspects of Kyrgyz Republic Travel, Hospitality and Tourism development.
6. IT & Communication Committee
The Committee promotes the development and improvement of Kyrgyzstan’s technological infrastructure; educating members on various marketing, mass-media and advertising issues in Kyrgyz Republic.
7. Social Affairs & Corporate Responsibility Committee
The Committee promotes all aspects in the spheres of education, healthcare, non-profit and human resource management as well as corporate philanthropy.
8. Business Ethics, Development of Mediation, Arbitration and Court procedures Committee
Main directions of the Committee’s activity: developing the business ethics and corporate culture of AmCham members, developing mediation and third party arbitration, and developing court practice.
